Reaction for depression

People are different from each other according to their characters and their tempers. And people are also different according to the common reactions they have in response for one or another event. There are people who are ready to fight against any trouble they face with and there are those who prefer complaining about those troubles. They don’t really want those troubles to go away because in this case they will have nothing to complain about and so there will be no reason for other people to feel sorry about them. People are different and they have different reactions for depression. People of a character have the alien reaction for depression and once they feel it comes they are struggling against it. They do their best on order to get rid of this feeling and in order to escape this terrible state. They are fighters and they are always ready. But, those of a weak character are always grasped with depression and they are killing themselves with sorrow thoughts. They usually stay at home crying and complaining about this life. They say the world is cruel and all people are happy except the. Indeed they are happy about depression because they have a “real” reason to shoe how poor they are.

Hidden depression

People are of different characters and different tempers. There are people that always express their feelings and their emotions and they never hide those. And there are people that express all those emotions of them but in case they feel something really serious they are hiding those feelings. And there are also people that never show their feelings and they never express those. So, there are people whose depression is easy to be noticed because they never hide their feelings and they themselves can tell you about they are depressed. But those that hide their feelings will never let you know they are depressed and will never show you the bead mood of them. And these people are the most dangerous and the depression for these people is really dangerous. Depression means too much of negative emotions and people have to get rid of them, though in case a person hides all those feelings he or she has it is possible that this depression will last for a very long period of time. These people need help from outside because they can really run mad because of all those feelings.

Teenage Depression

Clinical Depression as defined in the medical journal is a mental disorder characterized by a pervasive low mood, low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities.  Maximum people who are victims of this syndrome are teenagers. Recent studies showed that 1 in every 8 teenagers suffer from depression which is a very disturbing fact. The shocking part is that only 30% of these people are receiving treatment.

It is very common for teenagers to feel low and depressed. Adolescent years could be very hard at times. Due to this reason, sometimes parents and friends fail to identify the depression. When not treated at the right time, this could lead into a disruption of the social life as well as the personal health.

The repercussions of undiagnosed teenage depression go beyond just melancholy mood. It may lead to substance abuse (drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc.,),self injury, eating disorders, low self esteem, running away from home, trouble at school and in friend circle, social isolation and violent reckless behavior. The worst of these could end with suicide. One should watch out for the suicidal tendencies in teens, especially during the mood swings. If they are talking or joking about committing suicide, giving away prized possessions, saying goodbye very often, seeking pills or other sources to take life and so on.

This major reason for the teenage depression is the pressure put on them at school, society and added to this is the feeling of being helplessness. So, it is on parents, teachers or guardians to identify the problem in the kid and get the necessary help.

Chemical Imbalance

Depression in the middle of winter is not a sign of chemical imbalance but a simple sign of ingrained survival. While the weather turns cold and the winds turn brutal, depression is a survival skill of the body. When the body was designed, it wasn’t crafted to live in perfectly tropical climates all the time, but it had some mechanisms for surviving the brutal winters that it faced without the convenience of gas heat. Depression was one of those survival mechanisms. Depression is the one element that can make a body slow down emotionally and physically. It is the one force that can make one want to sleep all the time while actually slowing down the mechanical functions of the body. It drags the desire to get up and run and play out of you. When you are under winter’s watchful eye, you can imagine what our ancestors of yester—decades went through and how tough winter was on their bodies. They certainly weren’t privy to car seat warmers.

Depression can be nothing more than the body’s natural way of slowing everything down to battle against the elements. Unfortunately, many of us do not recognize that the mid winter blues just means that we are still connected to mankind from many centuries ago through our inherent body design. Even with modern conveniences, the mind and the body still slow down in order to cope effectively with shorter hours of day light and mind numbing chills that sweep us away. Depression becomes your mid winter friend to help you survive and not to create more issues for you.
